Obama will award the Medal of Honor to an Army sergeant who lost his
hand in Afghanistan when he tried to toss an enemy grenade away from
himself and two colleagues.
Sgt. 1st Class Leroy Arthur Petry will be the second living,
active-duty service member to receive the nation's highest military
decoration for actions in the Iraq or Afghanistan wars. Last year,
Obama awarded a Medal of Honor to Staff Sgt. Sal Giunta, also for
actions in Afghanistan.

Tim Mcgraw Lawsuit
Country
star Tim McGraw has been sued by bosses at his record label for breach
of contract. Curb Records executives claim the singer handed over master
recordings for his latest offering, Emotional Traffic, too closely to
the completion of 2009's Southern Voice and, as a result, the songs were
not "topical and new".
McGraw stands accused of using a "transparent tactic to attempt to
fulfill his contractual recording commitment to Curb prematurely in
breach of the recording agreement", according to a lawsuit obtained by
Billboard.com.
McGraw's contract allegedly stipulates that he must only record albums
"no earlier than 12 months and no later than 18 months" after delivering
his previous album.
A group seeking to ban the circumcision of male children in San
Francisco has succeeded in getting their controversial measure on the
November ballot, meaning voters will be asked to weigh in on what until
now has been a private family matter.
They look so safe and so harmless, but experts say some baby products in stores right now actually contain toxic chemicals.
More than 100 products were tested as part of a national study, which found potentially harmful flame retardants and polyurethane foam inside things such as car seats, nursing pillows and changing pads for newborns.
"These chemicals have been linked to impaired child development (and) increased time to pregnancy in women. They've also been linked to a number of other disorders," said Rebecca Meunnick with the Ecology Center.
